Aruban Artists visit various cities in the US
The Aruban artists whose works will be on display in the “Microcosm” exhibition at the residence of the Dutch Ambassador are currently visiting several cities along the east coast.
The artists will spend the next two days in New York City where they will visit several museums and galleries such as, the Museum of Modern Art and El Museo. They will continue their journey on Thursday, September 15 with a visit to Baltimore where they will visit local museums and galleries like the Maryland Institute of Contemporary Art and the World Bank collection. Earlier, the artists travelled to Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, where they toured Falling Water and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. They will return to Washington, D.C. for the opening of the ”Microcosm” exhibition on September 16th.
The grand opening of the ”Microcosm” exhibition will be on Friday, September 16th with a morning press viewing and official opening in the evening by Her Excellency Ambassador Renée Jones-Bos.
The exhibition will be open to the general public by appointment only from September 19th to October 13th from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. No appointments on weekends or on Columbus Day, Monday, October 10th. Reservations must be made by emailing was-gma@minbuza.nl with the date and time requested.
